Music

Beginners to Advanced & Child to Adult

No auditions are required for admission to the Academy. The beginner is welcomed here and can feel at ease, since all music lessons are “one-on-one”, the teacher will be patient, understanding that each student is special, and will progress according to their abilities, dedication to fulfill assignments and time restraints. We understand the needs of the purely recreational player.

Intermediate and advanced students will be taught by instructors who, through their own rigorous education and experience, will guide them through the process of advanced repertoire and performance skills. The Academy is the school for those who wish to pursue the language of art and music, and who seek a higher level of expression through education and fresh ideas for playing, singing, and developing their art through creative expression.

Master Classes & Workshops

Students with special interests in diverse topics such as Song-writing, Home studio recording, Music theory and other music related subjects will let us know of their interest, and we can set up special workshops according to demand, or private sessions to tend to their needs. We will post notices on our web-site calendar, Facebook and around the Academy when such classes are coming up. We will also post events such as Master Classes by professional Musicians and Artists offering these special classes to our students.

Lots of Ways to Study and Gain Experience:

Beyond the normal private lessons and small classes, we encourage students of all ages to perform in ensembles and jam sessions through special programs prepared by teachers. Your personal instructor will prepare you to participate, and these sessions are arranged so that upper level beginners as well as more advanced students can join in these popular music bands (playing various styles of blues and rock to jazz), or classical ensembles getting students of various instruments together in duets, trios and larger ensembles. The diversity of our faculty means ensembles are available for many styles of music giving students the opportunity to work with others at the same level. The diversity of our faculty allows us to cover many styles of music, and to offer all of our students the opportunity to experience the joy of playing with others at the same level.

Academy Players and Competitions

Several Academy teachers are members of the Music Teachers National Association, an accrediting organization, and students who study with member teachers may participate in Student Day and competitions associated with the national, state and local chapters. The Academy is also a member of the Federation of Music Clubs, and our chapter is the ACADEMY PLAYERS. Students may participate in the club festivals on the local, state and national levels.
